Beren
This is the name of the mortal lover and husband of the radiantly beautiful elf princess Lúthien. For love of Lúthien, he attempted and largely succeeded in performing an impossible task, the recovery of one of the Silmarils, jewels lost by the elves and set in the crown of the evil Morgoth.
